An assessment was performed in an attempt to correlate the quantity and
spatial distribution of impacts predicted by the meteoroid and orbital debris environment model,
with those impacts actually observed post-flight.
The LDEF was a unique experiment, in that it was
oriented in a relatively constant attitude and altitude for a
statistically significant period of time.
